SA adventurer plans to set a world golfing record for charity

South African Ron Rutland and Northern Irishman Adam Rolston are preparing to golf across Mongolia to raise funds to support Laureus Sport for Good.

Laureus supports over 100 development programmes globally.

The two will embark on an 82-day journey starting this month to complete the longest hole in golf, a par 14 000.

Rutland explains why the expedition is important to him.

For me it was important that this expedition, having learned what I did from my African trip, had a bigger purpose and reason to motivate us and get us up in the mornings.
