"ANC statement shows that the ANC is definitely not in charge"

The African National Congress (ANC) released a statement on Friday, saying it notes with grave concern reports of allegations contained in a series of emails leaked to the media dubbed #GuptaEmails.

These reports contain very worrying claims about the nature of the relationship between government and private interests writes the party.

The statement should have said that we have called on our leaders in government for an explanation on why they allowed the integrity and credibility of government to be compromised.

Munusamy adds that it is becoming a lot clearer that the ruling party is no longer in control of government as well as President Jacob Zuma.

Among the stories emerging from the Gupta leaked emails is proof of how British public relations company Bell Pottinger was responsible for creating the phrase 'white monopoly capital' and that it was part of a plan to sway the narrative of the Gupta's.

Munusamy admits that what the PR firm has done successfully is distract the public conversation.
