Matlhako Mahapa is a social scientist who is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Sociology at the University of Witwatersrand.
At 26-years old, she is a director at ‘Wise-Up’ Foundation and head of Monitoring and Evaluation at Wisecomms.
As a social entrepreneur Mahapa, started an initiative called Kasi Career which uses the concept as the well known career indaba, with the aim to connect young people in low income areas who are not exposed to global opportunities.

Kasi Career encourages big businesses to invest in youth empowerment, especially in youth that's based in the township rather than giving to people who are already in an advantaged positions.
