South Africans Doing Great Things: Randburg Mets Baseball Club

The Randburg Mets Baseball Club have put together a drive for the victims of the Knysna fires. They asked the community of Randburg and the rest of Gauteng for contributions in the form of blankets, clothes, toiletries and other necessities that may assist those who lost all their belongings in the devastating fires.

Their first truck left for Knysna filled to the brim with donations.

The goods will be received and distributed by Knysna Tourism and Knysna Relief Management. If you would like to help please feel free to contact Coenie Van Rensburg on 083 296 2606.

Coenie van Rensburg, from the Randburg Mets Baseball Club says they are deeply grateful to all who have come out to support their initiative.

We literally used social media to create awareness. The response we got is absolutely astounding.
