A second disciplinary hearing awaits Hlaudi Motsoeneng

Communications Minister, Ayanda Dlodlo says the process that led to the firing of Hlaudi Motsoeneng from the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) was fair.

Motsoeneng was axed on Monday after appearing in first disciplinary hearing and relieved of his duties as COO of the South African Broadcasting Corporation.

EWN reporter Lindsay Dentlinger, says Motsoeneng faces a second disciplinary hearing despite already being fired.

It would be illegal for the broadcaster to ignore the findings of the public protector and so a second disciplinary process will be instituted.

Dentlinger tells CapeTalk's John Maytham that Minister Dlodlo has been frank since about her intentions to get the public broadcaster back on its feet.

Dlodlo also told the parliamentary committee she is concerned that the broadcaster is overstaffed with skills that won’t necessarily assist in the urgent digital migration process.
