Umkhonto we Sizwe Military Veterans Association president, Kebby Maphtasoe, has rubbished claims that 60% of the delegates should not have been at the conference that saw him being elected to the organisation's top post.
Maphatsoe was speaking at a media briefing at Luthuli House in Johannesburg.
According to EWN reporter, Clement Manyathela, Maphotsoe clarified that the conference was not a fraud and that there were ten NEC members that were deployed by the ANC to oversee the conference.
While ten of those people did not attend, there were two people that came on the first day and several others.— Clement Manyathela, EWN reporter
He says it is all lies that 60% of the delegates were not bona fide MKs.— Clement Manyathela, EWN reporter
Manyathela says he will be questioning Maphatsoe during the media briefing on why they have changed their stance on wanting Fikile Mbalula to get a top position within the ANC.
The MKMVA says it is going to nominate Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma to be the leader of the ANC.
We know that Fikile Mbalula tweeted last week and was very harsh towards Ace Magashule, suddenly now they have decided to drop him.— Clement Manyathela, EWN reporter
