Exciting times for cricket fans with the announcement of the T20 Global League

The T20 Global League will be played in South Africa and will feature eight teams based in eight South African cities. The announcement was made on Monday in London.

Teams will be hosted in eight centres around South Africa, Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth, Stellenbosch and Benoni.

Craig Matthews, Cricket Commentator says he is excited about the forthcoming league.

Its something fresh, something new.

Matthews says the T20 will however come with its own set of challenges, especially when it comes to selecting and having players partake in the league while also having to show up for their national teams.

Matthews explains that although he is not a fan of T20 cricket there is an increasing demand for the format.
