Soccer star turned hero Ryan Botha back on his feet

Former South African U23 international soccer player, Ryan Botha almost lost his leg while saving a man who fell head first almost 8 metres into a pool overflow.

Botha, now a personal trainer after retiring from football a few years ago, is back on his feet and well on his way to recovery.

He anticipates that he will be back training people in 2018.

Botha played for three South African soccer clubs, Moroka Swallows, Thanda Royal Zulu and Platinum Stars.

I am now back on my feet and I am grateful for it.
