CoGH SPCA investigates allegations of cats being used for black magic
The Cape of Good Hope SPCA posted the following on their Facebook page: Our call centre has just received a disturbing report from a terrified eyewitness whom witnessed several cats allegedly being hacked to death during a "black magic" ritual at the Imhoff Caravan Park where the owners have offered any assistance and help.
Chantal, whose mother, runs the Imhoff Caravan Park called in to the John Maytham show, asking whether or not SPCA had the right to make such allegations without doing a thorough background check.
The post further says their inspectors have been dispatched to the scene to investigate these horrifying reports of abuse and torture.
Belinda Abraham, Communications, education and resource development manager at Cape of Good Hope SPCA confirms that their inspects visited the Imhoff Caravan Park.
The owners were extremely cooperative and helped us comb the area for any evidence of the allegations.
Belinda Abraham, Communications, education and resource development manager, CoGH
Abraham explains that they will clarify matters going forward. She says that the public ought to understand that the welfare of animals is a priority. She also adds that their intention was not to cause any harm or brand damage to Imhoff Caravan Park.
The investigation will continue and the public will be informed of the findings says Abraham.
