The Cape of Good Hope SPCA said on its Facebook page it was investigating allegations of cat torture at Imhoff Caravan Park. CapeTalk's John Maytham spoke to the CoGH SPCA who said the warnings were received via their call centre.
Imhoff Caravan Park refuted the claims, saying the allegations were false.
Tara McGovern, Cape of Good Hope SPCA, says after receiving the report, they had to investigate the matter promptly.
We often use our social media pages to get the public to assist with additional information.— Tara McGovern, Cape of Good Hope SPCA
McGovern says CoGH SPCA will refrain from publicly retracting their statement and allegations until their investigation is complete.
Graham Anderson, Operator, Imhoff Caravan Park says the allegations don't make any sense to him. He admits to the CoGH SPCA having paid them a visit and investigating the site.
They've searched the place publicly, they sent their investigators and there isn't a shred of evidence that we have anything to do with this at all.— Graham Anderson, Operator, Imhoff Caravan Park
