The 702 Truck of Love with SPAR 2017

Joy and gratitude as Relebogile visits Tshepong Center

The Truck of Love with Spar was back on the road today, this time joined by Relebogile Mabotja to give back to the Tshepong Center for the Disabled. Stationery, food and household necessities were given to the home which is located at Refilwe, Cullinan.

Overwhelmed, the manager of the center could not stop smiling, astonished by the number of things Truck of love and Spar were delivering. She expressed her gratitude by ululating and looking at the delivery beaming.

For you to remember us is a special moment we will never forget, we are thankful for spar and 702 as they came together and made this possible for us. You are absolutely amazing, this is a lot of stuff, I believe everything is going to last longer now, because of your initiative, thank you so much 702 and Spar. I am lost for words.

Lydia Madihlaba, Tshepong Center manager

The Center supports 49 benefices with disabilities and helps their families cope with challenges of raising their vulnerable children in Refilwe, Cullinan. The ethos of the organization does not allow any child to be turned away regardless of their family’s financial status. The Center is located in a semi-rural area in Pretoria, the residents being reliant on grants as they are unemployed and restricted to employers namely, Correctional services and Petra Diamonds (Mine). The beneficiaries of the Center suffer from mental disabilities and receive subsidies from the Department of the Health (Gauteng Mental Health).
