Political analyst Karima Brown says Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba is postponing the inevitable after he and Home Affairs Minister Hlengiwe Mkhize failed to attend a meeting to discuss the decision to grant the Gupta family citizenship.
Leaked documents show that Gigaba, when he was Home Affairs Minister, may have waived a certain legal requirement when he granted members of the Gupta family citizenship by naturalisation.

The DG trying to cover up for Minister Gigaba there saying that he did nothing wrong admitting, however, there was an oversight in not lodging the names with Parliament.
