Augustyne says that Emma's twin sister has taken the incident very badly and feels she needs professional assistance to help her get over what happened.

It is still not clear how the dogs got onto their property but they suspect that they could've squeezed through the gap that is between them and the neighbours.

Paula Pinkham has started a crowd-funding campaign ‘Sunshine & Superhero’ to assist the family with future medical and therapy costs.

Hearing about this awful incident the next thing to do after offering our time and support is to help them ease the financial pressure and allow them to focus on their own healing.

Pinkham says the money will go to organising therapy for the whole family to help get over the ordeal, especially the young ones.

Spokesperson for the Cape of Good Hope SPCA, Belinda Abrahams, confirmed that four dogs have been taken from the neighbour’s property.
