Protests have flared up at the Imizamo Yethu informal settlement bringing Hout Bay to a complete standstill on Saturday morning.
The City of Cape Town's Xanthea Limberg confirms that residents of the informal settlements are protesting about developments of a formal housing project that is affecting them negatively. Limberg says the city is in the first phase of the re-blocking project. She says the delay has been largely because of the terrain they are working from.
