ANC leadership hold different views on economy

The African National Congress is expected to deal with policies today, but there is an apparent division among leaderships on issues of white monopoly capital, radical economic transformation and land reform.

The party spent the first two days of the conference assessing the state of the organization as they discussed the ANC's organizational renewal document.

Delegates will from today start debating the party's policies.

Stephen Grootes has more on this and other developments.

What you have is a series of different stories all happening at the same conference and I think there are proper structural reasons for that... different parts of the ANC putting their views out in the public.

Stephen Grootes, EWN reporter and 702 anchor

Different views from the premier of Limpopo who says capital doesn't have color but then you will have someone say from Kwazulu-Natal or the North West say no it is white monopoly capital.

Stephen Grootes, EWN reporter and 702 anchor

But I think by tomorrow, we will start to get a much more cohesive story and this conference will become about one or two issues rather than different outbreaks of stories all over the place.
