Hanover Park Women's Forum in the dark about their eviction

The Hanover Park Women's Forum is irate, saying at least 15 organisations from the area have been "evicted" from the Hanover Park Community Center and Hanover Park Civic Center without prior notice. They claim this has jeopardised crucial school holiday programmes for youth in the area.

The City insists residents were given more than enough time to vacate.

Chairperson of the Hanover Park Women's Forum, Muriel George, says they are in the dark about why they were put out from the premises.

As a result of the eviction, they are unable to use facilities or implement some of their programmes that are aimed at bettering the community says George.

We are being victimised by our councilor in the area.
