The Tshwane Metro Police Department says its keeping a close eye on tensions between drivers of Uber cars and metered taxi cabs.
This comes after reports of intimidation and violent eruptions near transport terminals, such as the Gautrain station.
Metro spokesperson Isaac Mahamba say the department is monitoring the situation which seems under control at this stage.

At the same time, Mahamba says the Centurion and Waltloo licensing centres have had to restrict their services following burglaries.
Some residents have complained about being turned away.
