Smoke Cloak saves the day during #CashCrusadersRobbery

At about 11:45 two armed men entered the Cash Crusaders store on Strand Street. According to CEO at Cash Crusaders Franchising, Sean Stegmann, the one man was armed with a knife and the other with a gun.

He says the criminals pushed the employees into a room at the back of the store but fortunately they managed to activate the Smoke Cloak which they have installed in their stores.

As soon as the store was filled with smoke the criminals fled the scene. When the police arrived, lack of visibilty due to smoke filling the store, led them to assume it was a hostage situation which brought the whole of Strand Street to a standstill.

The Smoke Cloak is a massive investment which Cash Crusaders made to the tune of R15 million in all our stores.

The suspects fled the scene with a cellphone and none of the store employees were injured during the robbery.

President of Cape Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Janine Myburgh, says all the businesses are expected to put measures in place for the safety of their staff and customers and she is happy to see that Cash Crusaders has those measures in place.

She says that the criminals were spotted through the City's CCTV cameras and the footage has been handed over to the police.

I agree that these criminals should have been apprehended but time is short but the police are handling it.
