Bell Pottinger campaign fueling racial tensions in SA - Lukuko

The Institute for Justice and Reconciliation's Kenneth Lukuko, says the Gupta/Bell Pottinger campaign is one of those controversies which help us deal more seriously with the topic of reconciliation and racism.

He says these campaigns are stoking the fires of racial tension in the country.

Emails allegedly showing Bell Pottinger employees working with Gupta representatives on a campaign focusing on "economic apartheid" were leaked to the media.

Lukuko says South Africans need to engage more on issues of economic inequality in the country.

The controversy around it is what most South Africans know about, which is the economic inequality around the country.

Kenneth Lukuko, Senior Project Leader at the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation

Inequality in South Africa is highly racialised that's why it is easy for politicians to use it.
