Sanef granted interdict against BLF over threats on journos

EWN reporter, Hitekani Magwedze says the High Court in Johannesburg has granted the South African National Editors Forum (Sanef) an interdict against the Black First Land First (BLF) movement and its leader Andile Mngxitama.

Sanef approached the court to stop BLF from harassing, intimidating and threatening journalists and editors who report on state capture.

The court has ordered BLF to pay all legal costs.

BLF was also ordered to stop posting on social media and its websites about plans to intimidate journalists.

The movement members arrived late at court after the judgment was handed down. Magwedze says the members complained that the judge did not wait for them to arrive, saying that this shows the judge has no respect for the movement.

BLF was shouting at Sanef members outside court calling them "niggers" and that they are captured by white monopoly capital.
