Cosmetic plastic surgery Apps encourages kids to fix themselves

Psychotherapist focusing on body image, Holli Rubin says the games where children are meant to "correct facial anomalies" to make the person "more pretty" are a major concern.

She says they are campaigning to have companies like Google and Apple develop policies that will protect the user.

These are not just little games that children play with. They are sparkling and cultivating so that they appear to be very innocuous.

Holli Rubin, Psychotherapist

They encourage children to cut and replace these body parts so that they attempt to improve and make things look prettier....

Holli Rubin, Psychotherapist

Endangered Bodies, based in the UK, are behind a campaign to bring an end to these games and so far they have collected over 20 000 signatures for their petition under #SurgeryIsNotAGame.

20 000 signatures is not enough because we haven't reached our goal which is to get the big companies to realise that they need to do something about this.
