[LISTEN] Thabo Mbeki and SA's short memory

Former President Thabo Mbeki was at the centre of an open line debate on 702, following his interview on Power FM on Thursday night.

Responding to popular support for the former president, Eusebius Mckaiser criticised what he says is a sense of nostalgia from the public. He believes President Jacob Zuma is being used as a yardstick for leadership excellence.

I think his best years in the state were from '94 to '99 but after that, it is at best a checkered political legacy, his policies on Zim were insane, based on big men 'bromance' with Mugabe.
