Police have arrested four people in Kempton Park on Thursday night after a shootout on the R21 in Gauteng.
Police spokesperson Katlego Mogale says that officials have formed a multi-disciplinary task team to fight airport crime and it is starting to yield results.
The task team includes Saps, Airports Company of South Africa Limited (ACSA), other airport officials and various government departments, she explains.
Mogale says police are hoping to link the suspects to other 'airport followings' and unsolved cases through crime intelligence information and their investigations.
