SACP says it cannot ignore impact of the ANC's actions on the alliance

The South African Communist Party's (SACP) general secretary, Blade Nzimande says the organisation cannot ignore what happens in the African National Congress (ANC), describing the current politics within the alliance as very fluid and dangerous.

Speaking to Karima Brown on Talk At Nine on Sunday, Nzimande said a decision to contest the 2019 elections will be taken after the party has done some ground work.

What the general secretary of the SACP said last night, is that whilst it is not entirely tied to the ANC, the SACP cannot ignore the fundamental importance of what happens in that organization and its impact on the alliance and on the political life.

He said the situation is in fact very fluid and very dangerous, he used those two words to describe the political landscape and what he said what the SACP needed to be is tactfully agile so that they are able to make the best decisions and they also need to look at the organisational capacity.
