Bexit negotiations get underway

The first full round of negotiations on Britain's exit from the European Union is underway in Brussels, with reports of infighting.

According to Reuters Media, there is word of infighting along the lines of the Leave-Remain rifts that Prime Minister Theresa May's Conservative party suffered during the referendum.

May lost her majority in a June election and has apparently struggled to control rival cabinet ministers since.

We are expecting a press conference, probably tomorrow, on the results of what has gone on.

The Brexit secretary saying both sides need to get down to business but it was interesting that he only stayed for an hour or so yesterday and then flew back to the UK to vote in an important debate in parliament....

Speaking on May's authority, Grey says many people think she is 'already gone'.

The problem is if she lays down a timetable for her departure, she is already a sort of dead duck as it were and so many people would not start to take her seriously. The conservative party is ruthless, there are two or three people already lining up for that job and they will start to jockey for position as they already are I suppose.
