The Bank of England unveiled a new £10 note on Tuesday.
It will feature Jane Austen, replacing Charles Darwin.
Tuesday marks the 200th anniversary of the celebrated author’s death.
Austen was chosen to replace Darwin on the £10 note following a campaign from the feminist activist Caroline Criado-Perez after Churchill replaced the prison reform campaigner Elizabeth Fry, the only woman featured on the currency other than the Queen.
