ANCYL wants Mapaila's party membership revoked

The ANC Youth League (ANCYL) wants the South African Communist Party's first deputy general secretary Solly Mapaila's ANC membership revoked, after he appeared on a panel debating corruption on Sunday.

Save South Africa convenor Sipho Pityana and ANC Member of Parliament Makhosi Khoza were among those who spoke during a discussion on corruption at Lilliesleaf Farm in Rivonia.

On Tuesday, Khoza received a standing ovation, saying while she's received death threats for publicly speaking out against Zuma, she won’t be deterred.

She also appealed to him to save the country and the economy by stepping down.

Political analyst Karima Brown has more on this.

Of course Makhosi Khoza's not holding back, saying the president is in fact the dishonorable one.... that event essentially a coming together of massive civil society organisations and social justice movements who are actively campaigning for President Jacob Zuma to step down.
