ANC member of Parliament Makhosi Khoza has been officially charged by the party in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN).
The ANC's provincial executive committee in KZN has confirmed that it served Khoza with a charge sheet related to ill-discipline.
ANC KZN announced it would bring charges against Khoza for her public statements calling for President Jacob Zuma to step down.
She's apparently received death threats after speaking out.
Meanwhile, political analyst Lukhona says it is important to distinguish between the death threats and the disciplinary procedure she's facing within the ANC.

Khoza recently challenged the powers of the ANC KZN while its legitimacy was being challenged in court.
ANC KZN spokesperson Mdumiseni Ntuli agreed to come on air, but was not available at the time of the interview.
