MiWay CEO: We're not pressing charges against man behind fake email

MiWay insurance company has decided not to press charges against the disgruntled client behind a viral, hoax email.

MiWay CEO Rene Otto met with the man behind a hoax email that falsely implicated the insurance company in racist practices.

In the fake email screenshot, black clients are referred to as 'baboons'.

Otto says that the 32-year-old man was upset by MiWay's failure to send records of their communication.

He said he was cross with us and he was upset with the repudiation of the claim and request that he made for the recording of the communication between us and him.

He told me that we were never racists in anyway with our dealings with him.

He's very sorry about what he did and never thought he would cause such a social media storm.
