[LISTEN] Fake ticket holder says he bribed security to get into FNB stadium

A 702 caller says he and his friends bribed a security guard when they could not access the FNB Stadium on Saturday with a fake ticket.

Stadium Management SA says it has launched a probe into the sale of counterfeit tickets, following a deadly stampede during a cup final between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs leading to two fatalities and 19 injured.

Benjamin says his friends bought a counterfeit ticket at a nearby petrol station, in full view of metro police.

We had only two tickets and his cousin wanted to come, he got into the car and said he will buy the ticket at the stadium. Just at the Sasol garage, near the FNB stadium, there was a guy selling the ticket and the metro police was close to them.

Benjamin, 702 caller

We went in, the ticket was not working then security said give me R50 and you will go through. We paid him R50 and went through.
