The South African Reserve Bank (Sarb) is compelled by the Constitution to protect the value of the rand in the interest of balanced economic growth.
So said Sarb Governor Lesetja Kganyago on Tuesday.
Kganyago was briefing Parliament’s Standing Committee on Finance.
