DA National Spokesperson, Phumzile van Damme says if the ANC continues to protect Jacob Zuma, the people of South Africa will punish them severely during the 2019 elections.
She says Jacob Zuma has violated his oath of office and has stolen South Africans money but at the end of the day it's still the ANC's decision to make.
The motion of no confidence against President Jacob Zuma is due to take place on Tuesday in Parliament.
Speaker of Parliament Baleka Mbete has granted that the voting be done through a secret ballot.

From 2pm there will be a debate in the house from oppositions... thereafter we leave it in the hands of the ANC to make a right decision.— Phumzile van Damme, DA National Spokesperson
If the motion succeeds, Jacob Zuma as well as his cabinet would have to resign, according to the constitution, says van Damme. The speaker of Parliament will then become acting President until a new president is voted for.
