Without pollinators, what would our food BEE like?

Would the absence of honeybees cause a serious sting to everyday meals?

Eight years after beekeepers first started reporting massive honeybee die-offs, the problem is still getting worse. If pollinators play a role in producing one in every three foods we eat, what does that mean for future meals? Pollinators are among the most important stakeholders in our supply chain, as they produce one-third of the world's food crops like almonds, chocolate, coffee! One in three bites of food, there really is no grocery business without pollinators.

Sam Cowen spoke to Entomologist Michael Allsopp who also supported the findings that without bees and pollinators, people would really have to change their diets and this will impact on groceries and what food we can access.

The problem are the different pesticides that are killing the honeybees and many other pollinators. This leads to limited diets/stock and lack of various other food groups that the population needs.
