There has been criticism of the police ministry's inaction with regards to the arrest of Deputy Higher Education Minister Mduduzi Manana.
Manana has admitted to assaulting Mandisa Duma at a Fourways nightclub in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The woman has opened a case of assault against the deputy minister, but he has yet to be arrested.
The deputy minister has however been notified to appear in court this week.
We expect the country's police service to work justly and consistently regardless of who the minister is and who or what he knows. https://t.co/GKbfxPid7q— Zamandlovu Ndlovu (@Ms_ZamaNdlovu) August 10, 2017
