The 10111 strike appears to have intensified. The South African Federation of Trade Unions (Saftu) has now joined the industrial action there.
Workers are picketing across the country on Friday, gathering at the South African Police Services (SAPS) headquarters in Midrand. Call centre agents say they can no longer accept being underpaid and say they will now embark on an indefinite strike.

There's also a court application brought forward by the SAPS saying the protesters have violated picketing rules by intimidating non striking workers and causing damage to state property.— Pelane Phakgadi, EWN reporter
