Gauteng should prepare for a cold front with temperatures dropping significantly later this week, according to 702 and Cape Talk weatherman Simon Gear.
Cape Town will also be affected by the system on Tuesday.
The SA weather Service says temperatures in Gauteng will drop to between 11 and 15 degrees on Thursday, improving slightly on Friday.
The mercury will continue rising over the weekend.

The cold front is expected to bring snow across the high peaks of the Western Cape and in parts of the Northern Cape on Tuesday.
Snowfall will spread to the Eastern Cape by lunchtime on Wednesday. Snow can also be expected over Lesotho and parts of southern KwaZulu-Natal.
