On Wednesday, the ANC MPs on that committee refused to attend a committee meeting that was due to hear testimony from Public Service Minister Faith Muthambi.
Khoza publicly disclosed that she voted against President Jacob Zuma in last week's parliamentary confidence motion.
ANC Chief Whip Jackson Mthembu's office says that it's received a directive to remove her from her position.
Khoza has been removed owing to what the ANC calls the irretrievable breakdown of relations between herself and ANC members of the committee.
