The MPLA (People's Movement for the Liberation of Angola) Angola's ruling party says it has won a majority in the country's election but the main opposition party, Unita is challenging the claim.
Journalist Crystal Orderson reports that on Thursday, Angolan President, José Eduardo dos Santos ordered the electoral commission to stop releasing the results.
Oderson adds that although the MPLA is in the lead there are conflicting reports especially from human rights activists on the ground, from different provinces.
They for instance say, there were different reports of police carrying ballot boxes from polling stations.— Crystal Orderson, Journalist
There were also thousands of people that could not vote in three provinces. The electoral commission has admitted to this and will grant those provinces an opportunity to vote on Saturday.— Crystal Orderson, Journalist
Morocco is awaiting an answer to join the West African economic union Economic Community of West African States (Ecowas) however, Nigeria is unhappy about this and is opposed to this idea.
Nigeria feels they will lose power with Morocco being a stronger economic power explains Oderson.
