Dlamini-Zuma prioritises empowering women

On Tuesday, presidential hopeful, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma stepped up her campaign in Gauteng when she delivered a keynote address at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS).

Political analyst, Karima Brown says Dlamini-Zuma has to campaign outside of her stomping ground but also attend such functions if she wants to be president and convince the business community that she has the answers to South Africa's sluggish and stagnant economy.

She aimed her speech at the empowering of young women, addressing radical economic transformation.

Karima Brown, Political analyst and Talk at Nine anchor

Brown says it doesn't matter which audience or organisation Dlamini-Zuma addresses, her script remains clear and message is distilled, and always emphasises the black majority accessing the economy they are excluded from.

What she neglects to tell people, is that she and her former husband have ruled the country since 1994 on ANC policies and a lot of what is wrong with our economy is based on the policy choices made by the ruling party on top of the reservoir of apartheid debt.

The problem though, is she isn't explaining how she hopes to bring about radical economic transformation reports Brown.
