The Hawks say that they are surprised by some contents contained in an open letter written by Jacob Zuma's son Duduzane Zuma.

The Hawks say that they are amazed by some of the contents contained in an open letter written by Jacob Zuma's son Duduzane Zuma to former Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan.

In the letter released over the weekend, Zuma claims the Hawks cleared him and the Gupta family of any wrongdoing, referring to former finance minister Pravin Gordhan's statements that the Gupta family and himself are corrupt.

However, the Hawks deny this, saying their investigation into state capture is ongoing.

The Organsation Against Tax Abuse (Outa) has opened a case against Zuma. Midday report's Ray White spoke to chief operating officer Ben Theron.

Dudzane was a critical player between Zuma and the Guptas.

We have got the emails that speak to deals being made and information being passed to and fro.

Theron says the organisation has laid multiple cases against government officials with the Saps and have entered into discussions with the Hawks offering information.

The information we provide is of such a nature that it is irrefutable however the Hawks still have the responsibility to confirm the authenticity of the information and that takes a bit of time. We have got to allow the process to take place.
