YouTuber puts a heavy-metal twist to songs and goes viral

Norwegian YouTuber Leo Moracchioli recently released his version of heavy-metal makeover of Toto's Africa ,which received over 2 million views in the past 2 weeks.

Moracchioli has 1.88 million subscribers and over 365 million views in total on his channel.

He spoke to CapeTalk's Kieno Kammies about his music career.

I am just a guy from Norway who's always been interested in music. I have been playing for 20 year now and loved recording from home. I found a niche where I can work with YouTube and be my own boss and people seem to like it - so why not.

I started doing covers of pop songs in a more friendly way. One day, I decided to do Poker Face by Lady Gaga, put it out there and it got a million views.

I didn't even know you could make a living out of YouTube ... I've made a decent living for the past year and half.
