CapeTalk's Kieno Kammies speaks to Pick n Pay Plumstead co-owner Paul Robins who is trying to assist the pensioner.

A listener called in on Cape Talk's Breakfast Show to talk about a pensioner who got paid R400 less from his Sassa grant this month.

Raymond in Plumstead explained how the pensioner was standing at the till looking devastated that R400 was missing from his grant money.

CapeTalk's Kieno Kammies managed to get hold of Paul Robins, co-owner of Pick n Pay in Plumstead, who promised to find the pensioner and assist him in getting his R400 back from Sassa.

In addition, Robins promised to give the pensioner R400 worth of Pick n Pay vouchers as he is a regular customer.

We have identified him. The pensioner is a regular, he comes in few times a week. Unfortunately, he didn't come in over the weekend but the next time he is here, we will give him R400 in cash or in vouchers.

I will also take him to the Sassa offices in Wynberg to sort out his query and hopefully they can assist him.
