ANC secretary general Gwede Mantashe has called on journalists to resist being used as tools for dirty tricks in the party's succession race.
This comes amid infidelity allegations facing Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Mantashe has also condemned the abuse of state resources.

He held a press briefing giving feedback on the ANC elective conference to be held in December, reports EWN's Clement Manyathela.
The ANC has begun auditing its membership in preparation for the party's national conference, and six out of the nine provinces have been checked so far.
Mantashe says the upcoming conference must be focused on uniting the ANC and discussing actions to deal with problems facing South Africans.
