After an apparent attempt on his life, businessman Kenny Kunene hired a private forensic investigator, Dr David Klatzow, to get to the bottom of the incident. He says he has found crucial evidence that was overlooked by the police.
The incident occurred on Tuesday night, where Kunene claimed he and a female friend were shot at by several gunmen. A vehicle allegedly pulled up in front of him and opened fire.
EWN reporter, Barry Bateman says that there have been suspicions surrounding the incident, with some people believe in was staged and not believing Kunene's word. Thus Kunene hired Klatzow to investigate.

Bateman says that Klatzo found seven bullet holes in the vehicle, and when he removed several of the door panels near the bullet holes, he found several projectiles.
The vehicle, which was not Kunene's, was processed and released to the owner by the police, Bateman says. He adds that it was standing at a panel beater, waiting to be repaired with this evidence inside it.

Despite these findings, Bateman says the police are satisfied that all the process were followed in their investigation. They said that both a local and provincial investigation team was involved and returned to the crime scene to ensure they gathered all evidence.
Bateman says that this has raised questions into how the police are handling this matter. He adds that Kunene has been asking, is this lack of investigation coming from instructions from someone in higher authority?
