How to beat the stress and anxiety of a 1st time tax payer

Doing your taxes for the very first time could be a daunting and very confusing exercise.

CapeTalk producer Nicola Bruns who just started on her post-university adult journey is now faced with a couple of things that are not being taught at school - but are very much part of an adult life, like doing taxes.

She put her questions to Marc Sevitz, Co-Founder at TaxTim on how a first timer can beat the stress and anxiety of having to deal with taxes.

He had some sage advice...

From the first time you earn money try to find out how much is tax and how much is the PAYE...

Marc Sevitz, Co-Founder at TaxTim

You will have to go into Sars the first time and register your tax number.
