"President Zuma is beyond caring about what the SACP thinks about him"

ANC's national executive committee member Bheki Cele dropped a bombshell on Sunday while speaking at the KZN Shop Stewards’ Council in Durban.

EWN reporter Ziyanda Ngcobowas there, and says Cele revealed that he had received a worrying message on his phone outlining plans to remove Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa and cause enough chaos in order for the elective conference not to go ahead in December.

He also said that there is a plan to escalate the political assassinations... and this would be part of the chaos that is created in the country.

At this stage we don't know who send him this message and how credible it is or it is part of the rumour mill that has been circulating since the announcement that Nkosazana Dlaimini-Zuma will be going back to Parliament.

Ziyanda Ngcobo, EWN reporter

Ngcobo says it is still unclear whether the police are investigating this message by Cele.

There are also speculation and a list that is going on of a possible Cabinet reshuffle, says Ngcobo.

Ngcobo spoke to Blade Nzimande about the rumours he might be shuffled out of his higher education protfolio to make way for Dlamini-Zuma, but says 'he just laughed it off.'

Meanwhile, Makhosi Khoza did not show up for her disciplinary hearing in Durban on Friday, claiming she knows it was being scheduled for 9 am on Sunday.

Khoza did not show up again on Sunday saying that she received threats on Saturday and feared for her life. She says the ANC in KZN refused to change the venue after she told them that she is receiving threats.

Ngcobo says ANC KZN says they refused to change the venue because Khoza failed to present enough evidence that her life was under threat.

If she doesn't appear this coming Sunday they will proceed with disciplinary whether she is there or not.

Political Analyst and Associate Editor at Tiso BlackStar Group, Ranjeni Munusamy commented on reports that SACP leader Blade Nzimande could be removed from his position when the President reshuffles Cabinet.

The relationships within the tripartite alliance are already at its all time low so I doubt anything could get any worse...

Ranjeni Munusamy, Political Analyst and Associate Editor at Tiso BlackStar Group

I think now President Zuma is beyond caring about what the SACP thinks about him. I think the state of the alliance is beyond repair.

Ranjeni Munusamy, Political Analyst and Associate Editor at Tiso BlackStar Group

I don't think there will be anything withholding the President back from executing such a reshuffle to remove SACP member form his cabinet.
