Transport minister Joe Maswanganyi has condemned the continued rivalry between Uber and Metered taxi drivers in Johannesburg after three vehicles were torched in Sandton last week.
Two Uber cars were petrol bombed allegedly by meter taxi drivers. Angry Uber drivers retaliated, attacking stationary metered taxi cars.
There are concerns that the ongoing conflict may have an impact on tourism in the country.
Maswanganyi conducted a walkabout in the area on Monday afternoon.
