A Joburg woman, Noxolo Ntuli, says she is seeking professional help after fighting off three men in an attempted robbery in Auckland Park on Monday.

A video of the incident surfaced on social media this week.

In the video, Ntuli is seen walking down the road when two gun wielding men pull up beside her and charge at her, before attempting to grab her handbag.

The medical scientist says she was determined to hold on to her belongings as there was a hard drive contained in the handbag with a draft of her master’s thesis.

Armed with lessons from a self-defence class she took after her first robbery‚ she held on to the bag containing her thesis‚ which she is due to submit at the University of Johannesburg at the end of the month.

It is the second time she has been attacked at the same spot.

As soon as they were pulling up next to me I was thinking about all the admin I would have to go through, going to the bank to get news cards, all my work that is on my hard drive....I just couldn't let go.
