OR Tambo memorial site in KwaMzimeli, Nkantolo remains dilapidated - Mnguni

A political analyst has disputed images shared by the Arts and Culture Minister Nathi Mthetwa of Tambo memorial site located in KwaMzimeli, Nkantolo and says the building has been in ruins since 2015.

Lukhona Mnguni alerted the minister to the fact on Thursday after he had shared what looks like a well keptsite.

Mnguni spoke to Stephen Grootes, standing in for Xolani Gwala.

That site has been ruined since 2014 August, it was a deliberate fire and that arson was by a community member that is known to the people but people are scared of the person.

He was charged at some point and the issue just fizzled out and nothing has happened, he has not been taken into further questioning on trial.
