A nine-year old boy from Ocean View was killed in his home last weekend, just hours before his grandmother was supposed to get married.
It's understood little Aqeel Davids was caught in the crossfire between two warring gangsters in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The shooting occurred when alleged gang members chased a man who had run into the family’s back yard.
The deceased boy's aunt Mishqah Davids says the family was unaware that the man had taken cover in their home.
Suspected gang members opened fire in the family's home, hitting the boy in the process.
The young child was shot in the head and declared brain dead on arrival at the hospital.
The distraught relative relived the traumatic event which left her 9-year-old nephew dead, and three others wounded.
